Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. 

Experience:  

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education, preferably within a Head Start or Early Head Start program.  

  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role. 

Knowledge:  

  • Strong knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, child development principles, and family engagement best practices. 

Skills:  

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in using data systems to track program outcomes.  

  • Familiarity with state and federal early childhood education regulations. 

 

Additional Requirements:     

  • Current Act 114, Act 34, Act 151 and NSOR Clearances required prior to an offer (Must be dated within 1 year of hire date). 

  • School Personnel Health Record (Form H511.340) must be completed and received by Human Resources prior to hire date.  

  • Ability to travel locally to attend meetings, conduct home visits, and provide support to various program sites as needed.
